The Portwell PNSR-4000 is a 1U, 19-inch rackmount network appliance powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra Processors (Series 2) (codename Arrow Lake-S) and the Intel® W880 chipset. Supporting up to 24 cores with a hybrid architecture of Performance-cores (P-cores) and Efficiency-cores (E-cores), it delivers an optimal balance of computing performance and power efficiency for modern networking environments. Leveraging Intel Core Ultra processors’ disaggregated multi-tile architecture, which integrates CPU, GPU, and NPU resources on a single platform, the PNSR-4000 is designed to accelerate diverse workloads from the edge to the cloud, making it ideal for enterprise networking, security, and edge computing deployments.
Designed for maximum flexibility and scalability, the PNSR-4000 features four Open Compute Project (OCP) NIC 3.0 expansion slots, including two PCIe Gen5 and two PCIe Gen4 interfaces. This versatile configuration supports the Portwell PNC series network interface cards as well as OCP NIC 3.0 SFF adapters, enabling Ethernet connectivity of up to 200GbE. In addition, the OCP 3.0 expansion architecture provides the flexibility to integrate AI acceleration modules, making the platform well-suited for emerging edge AI and intelligent networking applications.
